If you're hosting Christmas dinner for 25 people, tearing apart your kitchen on December 15 probably isn't the greatest idea.

But that doesn't mean December renovations are off the table.

A basement renovation may have very little impact on Christmas gatherings upstairs. A second bathroom might be renovated while another remains available. Flooring or painting could potentially be scheduled around holiday plans.

There can also be drying and curing times between certain steps.

A good renovation schedule needs to account for all of that rather than simply looking at the number of days someone will physically be working in the room.

Winter Can Be the Right Time to Finally Get It Done

There is rarely a "perfect" time to renovate.

There will always be schedules, work, kids, weather, holidays, and everyday life happening in the background.
